Description

The MRCOOL DIY® 5th Generation Mini Split is a versatile, energy-efficient heating and cooling solution designed for homeowners seeking a straightforward, do-it-yourself installation. Available in various capacities—including 9K, 12K, 18K, 24K, and 36K BTU models—it caters to spaces ranging up to 1,550 square feet.

Installation is simple thanks to MRCOOL’s patented QuickConnect® line sets, which are pre-charged with R-454B refrigerant. This means no vacuuming or special tools are required. The included DIYPRO® cable enhances safety and durability, eliminating the need for electrical conduit and protecting the system from weather and wildlife.

Environmentally conscious and ENERGY STAR® certified, the system uses R-454B refrigerant, which has a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than traditional R-410A. Inverter technology ensures the unit runs quietly and efficiently, adjusting compressor speed to maintain your desired temperature while saving energy.

Smart control is built in, with multiple ways to manage your comfort. Use the SmartHVAC app on iOS or Android, voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, or the included wireless remote. The “Follow Me” function personalizes comfort by adjusting airflow based on the remote’s location, while Dry Mode helps reduce indoor humidity.

Built to last, the MRCOOL DIY® 5th Gen features a Gold Fin® coating on the condenser. It’s also backed by an industry-leading warranty: a limited lifetime warranty on select components, a 7-year compressor warranty, and a 5-year parts warranty.
